Packages

Packages in the sidebar is where you put together what goes to the county in one trip. A package holds up to ten trámites (transfers, new resident registrations and sticker renewals) and TitleAI fills its cover forms, the MV-501 and TS-5, from them.

The Packages list: packages grouped by date with the Package, Business, Transfers, Cover, Age and Status columns, and the New Package button at the top right.

The top of the Packages list: the package count, the "aging past 14 days" line, the search box, the status chips with their counts, the list/board switch and the New Package button.

  • Search box: matches the package number and the business.
  • Status chips: show only the packages in that status. Each carries a count.
  • List / board switch: the two icons left of New Package. The board has one column per status, and you move a package by dragging its card.

The Packages board: the Draft column full of package cards with their age, then empty Submitted, Received and In Process columns with Add package.

On screenWhat it means
DraftBeing put together. The only status in which you can add or remove trámites and change the office, runner or date.
SubmittedDropped off at the county.
ReceivedThe county has it.
In ProcessThe county is working on it.
Picked UpCollected from the county.
CompletedClosed. Final.
CancelledCalled off. Its trámites go back to the pool and can go in another package. Final.
BusinessThe business the package is for. Underneath, the drop-off office and the delivery date.
TransfersHow many trámites are in it.
CoverHow many of the ten rows on the cover forms are filled (“cover 3/10”), or “no cover”.
AgeDays since the package was created.

A status only moves forward. Going to the next one happens straight away; skipping one, or choosing Completed or Cancelled, asks you to confirm first.

  1. On the Packages list, press New Package.

  2. On the left, choose the Business (if you work under more than one), the Delivery Date and the Branch (the county office where it is dropped off). Under Delivery, pick the owner or runner who takes it.

  3. On the right, under Contents, tick the trámites that go in it. The chips narrow the list to Transfers, New Residents or Renewals, and by type; the search takes the client, VIN, plate or number. Once ten are ticked the rest grey out.

The Create Package window: Business, Delivery Date, Branch and Delivery on the left, and Contents on the right with two transfers ticked out of a list of 54.

  4. Press Create. The new package opens.

If the runner you pick has no permit number on file, the window asks for it before you can create the package. A runner whose license or permit has expired shows a warning but doesn’t stop you.

Opening a package shows its cover forms down the left tabs, the selected form in the middle, and its details and tools across the top.

A package open on its MV-501: Package #93, the Draft status, the business, office, runner and date pills, the five header icons, and the MV-501, TS-5 and Record tabs.

The package header: the Draft status pill, the TWT Transport LLC, Cypress Hill, runner and 2026-07-30 pills, and the icons on the right. Below, the MV-501, TS-5 and Record tabs.

File-plus iconAdd transfers (Draft only).
Document iconAdd external entry (Draft only).
List iconTransfers: the card listing what is in the package.
Right-hand railPrint, download and zoom the form on screen.

Click the status pill and pick the new status.

The status menu open under the Draft pill: Submitted, Received, In Process, Picked Up, Completed and Cancelled.

Click the list icon. The Transfers card shows each row on the cover, how many of the ten rows are used, and the buttons to add more. Click a row to open that trámite; the trash icon takes it out of the package (it goes back to the pool, nothing is deleted).

The Transfers card: 2 / 10, a pending transfer and an external entry, "2 of 10 rows used", and the Add transfer and External entry buttons.

  1. Press Add transfer on the Transfers card, or the file-plus icon in the header.

  2. Tick the trámites to add. The subtitle says how many rows are still free.

The Add to package window: the search box, the All, Transfers, New Residents and Renewals chips, the TYPE chips, and the list with one transfer ticked.

  3. Press Add to package.

For something you are dropping off that was never entered in TitleAI, press External entry. Fill in the Applicant Name, VIN, Transfer Date and Transfer Type, and press Add Entry. Save & Add Another keeps the window open for the next one.

The Add External Transfer window: the note that it is only printed on the cover forms, Applicant Name, VIN, Make, Model, Year, Transfer Date and Transfer Type, and Save & Add Another and Add Entry.

An external entry is only printed on the MV-501 and TS-5. TitleAI doesn’t track it as a transfer, so bring its paperwork yourself. Removing it deletes it for good.
